Tá lúcháir an domhain orainn gur bhain muid gradam na hAislinge mar gheall ar thionchar na scoile ar an Ghaeilge le 50 bliain anuas. Bhí oíche iontach againn in óstán an Europa nuair a bronnadh an gradam orainn.
We are delighted to have been awarded a coveted Aisling Award this year. Our award is for the school's contribution to the Irish language. It has been brilliant for us to cast an eye back over 50 years of Bunscoil Phobal Feirste this year and to see not only the progress of the school, but also of the sector. Our school, which was the first school of the sector, began in one small hut with 9 pupils. Not only do we have 420 pupils on our books now in a modern building, but the Irish Medium sector has over 7,000 pupils and their families connected to over 90 Irish language schools and settings all over the 6 counties. A remarkable feat considering where we started. We look forward to the next 50 years!! BPF Abú!
