Re-Immersion/Settling in Week 24-28 August

A Thuismitheoir/Chaomhnóir a chara,

Iniata tá plean na seachtaine seo chugainn. Tá sé riachtanach go leanann gach duine na hamanna seo ó thús agus i rith ama ar mhaithe le sábháilteacht a chéile a choimhéad. Táimid ag dúil go mór le gach duine a fheiceáil arís.

Attached are next week’s staggered intake timetable arrangements. It is imperative that everyone adheres strictly to the new times, rules and guidance from the beginning and throughout the school days in the interests of everyone’s safety and wellbeing. There is also a letter to parents from the Minister of Education included as well as the 'Education Restart' Leaflet.

Next week’s staggered intake is an opportunity for pupils to re-integrate to the school, re-immerse themselves with Gaeilge and to become accustomed to any new teachers, classroom assistants they may have as well as our new rules/regulations and sanitising procedures. It is also an opportunity for parents and carers to accustom themselves to the new one way system (around the outside path of the building), staggered arrivals and drop offs as well as staggered pick ups.

Children will now enter and exit the school at the external entrance/exit door to their classroom on the outside of the building. We are very fortunate that our building layout enables this access which will keep our classes in their protective ‘bubbles’ from the very start of the school day. Parents who are bringing their children to the school grounds should follow the arrows and are to quickly leave their children at these external classroom points where they will enter their class immediately. Parents must not wait around and must exit the school grounds promptly via the one way system.

Parking must be as far away from the school and Rosgoill as possible. At this stage, following over four years of communication/reminders, the majority of us are all aware of the space available on Shaw’s Road and Tullymore Square. This must be availed of.

Please note that there is a staggered 15min start and finish time- eg 3A 9-00am 3B 9-15am etc. This is being done in the interests of managing flow of pupils and parents in and around school and will be continued throughout the school year. These times must be adhered to strictly. Anyone who has a sibling at a different time should be left off at the earliest, eg if a child in 3A starts at 9am but his/her sister/brother in 4B starts at 9-15am-both will be left for 9am.

We will communicate by the end of this week regarding our new school year arrangements & our new daily logistical arrangements as well as rules and regulations from the week beginning Tuesday the 1st of September.

Go raibh maith agaibh.
