We are delighted to be part of the Irish News Young Readers Critical Literacy Programme for over 2 years now. Our pupils have been doing critical literacy work on the many local and international news articles. Our latest work however, saw our pupils reading articles about themselves! The return of interschool sport following what felt like a lifetime away, was huge news recently and of course, we were one of the first school teams back on the pitch, as you might expect! We had a fantastic day, playing games against our local, friendly rivals St John the Baptist. Local media was on hand and our pupils made the front page of the Irish News. Twice!
