A leithéid de bhliain atá idir láimhe ag cailíní na scoile ar na páirceanna imeartha! Roimh an Nollaig bhain siad corn laistigh Bhéal Feirste sa pheil ansin i ndiaidh na Nollag d’éirigh leo craobh an chontae a thógáil agus chuaigh siad a fhad le craobh Uladh ach ní raibh a rás rite go fóill! Bhain siad áit amach i gcluiche ceannais Chorn A peile lasmuigh Bhéal Feirste nuair a bhuail siad scoil na Trionóide Naofa. Bua iontach agus bhí cluiche ceannais iontach againn in éadán Naomh Eoin Báiste. Ní raibh an t-ádh linn an t-am seo ach bhí lá iontach againn ag an chluiche mór agus táimid uilig an-bhródúil as an ghrúpa iontach seo a chuir a gcroíthe isteach i ngach cluiche a d’imir siad i mbliana.
What a year our girls are having on the playing fields of Belfast, Antrim and Ulster!
The girls have picked up where the boys left off last year winning the City and County indoor titles and making it through to the Ulster championships. We had a great day up at the Meadowbank Arena in Magherafelt where the champions of each county in Ulster met and battled it out for the Ulster Championship. We came up short on the day but it was a great source of pride that we once again represented the School, city and county on the biggest stage of all at primary schools football. Maith sibh a chailíní. But the girls were not content with that! They gave us another fantastic day out when they made it to the ‘President Mc Aleese’ A Championship final against our local rivals St John the Baptist following a resounding victory against Holy Trinity in the semi final (After a brilliant league campaign). The girls were left heartbroken as they came up short following a commanding first half performance and lead. Another great year and of the 4 trophies available, the girls had to be content to split the difference with our friendly rivals St John the Baptist. 2 trophies each this year! Maith sibh a chailíní. Leanaigí ar aghaidh!
