Bhí muid an-bhródúil ar fad múinteoir Siún a fheiceáil ag glacadh páirte ins an chomórtas do dhaoine fásta - amhránaíocht aonair le tionlacan giotáir in ómós an amhránaí, Albert Fry, a bhí mar Uachtarán ar an Oireachtas nuair a bhí an fhéile i mBéal Feirste go deireanach in 1997.
As well as her duties of teaching music and managing the school choir, Siún herself was also a participant in the Oireachtas! It was with great pride that we saw Siún take part in the inaugural Albert Fry memorial singing competition this year. Albert was not only a renowned folk singer and former president of the Oireachtas when it was last in Belfast in 1997 but he was also a former governor of Bunscoil Phobal Feirste and was heavily involved as an architect in the initial designs of the school in the mid 80s. Siún did the school and Albert’s legacy proud. Maith thú a Shiúin!
