Rialacha Sláinte/Safety Rules
  • Parents should not park cars in the school yard when collecting children except in exceptional circumstances which are previously agreed with school management.
  • Any child who needs to leave school early must be given permission and be collected by an adult from the school office.
  • Arrangements for after school activities should be made with the children so that daily phone calls to the school office can be avoided.
  • Any child missing days at school should inform the school. A note or a telephone call is required.
  • Girls and boys with long hair should tie back long hair while in school.
  • Any child with pierced ears should wear studs. No other jewellery is allowed.
  • No mobile phones or electronic gadgets are allowed.
  • No chewing gum is allowed.
  • Children who do not attend the Breakfast Club are not permitted in to the school yard before 9:00. Parents of children in Primary 4-7 are kindly reminded not to go in to the school yard in the mornings before 9 and only to accompany their children to the gate.
  • Róisín our VP is the Designated Teacher for Child protection and Pastoral Care. Please do not hesitate to contact Róisín or Gearóid, our Deputy Designated Teacher, if you have any concerns relating to such issues.
  • Parents are asked to please help ensure child safety and also respect for the residents of Rosgoill Park by parking on the Shaw’s Road and crossing the road with Ray, our traffic warden.
  • In the interests of child protection and in order to minimize disruption to learning & teaching, it is important that all parents, remain in the reception area outside Leontia’s office when inside the School building.
